Seekordse stoomipäeva mõte on, et stoomiga inimeste õigused on inimõigused – igal ajal ja igal pool.
World Ostomy Day is on October 2nd. Only a month away. It is celebrated every third year and a special theme is chosen for each occasion. This time I and my team in the board of the European Ostomy Association (EOA-EC) were given this task. We chose: “Ostomates rights are human rights – anytime and anywhere”.
And for a good reason; all over the world – in Europe, Africa, Asia, America and the Pacific area you can easily find countries that do not care properly for ostomates.
WE NEED TO FIGHT THAT SITUATION!
Ülemaailmne stoomipäev toimub 2 oktoobril. Seda tähistatakse igal kolmandal aastal ja igaks sündmuseks valitakse eriline teema. Seekord: ′′Stoomiga inimese õigused on inimõigused – igal ajal ja igal pool”.
Ja seda mõjuval põhjusel. Kogu maailmas – Euroopas, Aafrikas, Aasias, Ameerikas ja Vaikse ookeani piirkonnas leiab hõlpsalt riike, kes stoomiga inimestest ei hooli.
